ProgElements

What are the core program elements?

The Homeward Bound experience comprises four major streams: leadership, visibility, strategy, and science.

Leadership: We'll use a variety of tools and resources to explore our leadership motivations, goals, and unique styles. We'll cultivate important qualities such as emotional intelligence and conflict resolution, as well as learn to confidently communicate our purpose as leaders.

Visibility: Women often face both internal and external challenges that prevent us from being seen and heard. This stream guides us through what it means to be visible and how we can achieve our visibility goals across a broad range of platforms

Strategy: We'll gain an understanding of how to map out strategies in both our personal and professional spheres in order to execute our vision with efficacy and purpose.

Science: Strong visions for STEMM leadership require a strong foundation of scientific knowledge. This stream will focus on providing education on various topics related to global sustainability, including harnessing our own knowledge to contribute to meaningful collaborations.

Additionally, principles of wellbeing are integrated throughout the program with the help of a dedicated Wellbeing Team, including an on-board clinician who provides mental health support to participants and faculty alike during the Antarctic voyage.
